Live music, flowing beer and happy skiers unite at Vail's number one apres-ski destination.
by Contributor
In Short
Always packed, this long-standing establishment is the place for skiers. Coveted bar seats are nearly impossible to get and most days the tavern crams them in three-deep. Comfortable camaraderie and ever-lasting live music define the hopping barroom. On warm days, open windows spill the sounds of local singing legend Phil Long's notorious cover tunes down Bridge Street. A full menu provides more-than-adequate sustenance for the weary, but food plays second fiddle to Long's guitar.
Pure Vail Apres Ski
by one_spod
The first of many apres ski visits to the Red Lion, my friends and I left singing ole', ole', ole' with a street full of locals, college kids and fur clad tourists all in chorus. From that moment on, you knew that the Red Lion is the true center of the apres ski universe. One can only attempt to re-live the experience... again and again and again.
- Pros: Location, Rowdy Apres Ski, Mixed Crowd
