Dirty and Terrible dining experience. Sorry to say a Vail let down, restaurant was so filthy the looks should have told me to turn away. The food was the worst the margaritas were poorly made. Yuck
GREAT FOR KIDS AND TO JUST CHILL!. My family and I just recently moved to Vail Colorado from Texas. I have to say that I am a pretty good judge of margaritas, Los Amigos has the best in town. I have always had so much fun there and the waitstaff is delightful.... I recommend it to anyone that wants to sit back and chillllll!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOO TO THE PEOPLE THAT CANT LOOSEN UP AND JUST ENJOY!!!!!
What this Mexican restaurant lacks in authenticity, it makes up in apres-ski fun..
In Short
A festive after-skiing crowd packs the outdoor patio at the base of Vail Mountain daily. People flow inside to the bar, forcing margarita-sippers to drink standing up from roughly 3pm to 6pm. Travelers will leave the restaurant with full stomachs and enough cash for a night out on the town. Typical entrees like tacos, enchiladas and burritos arrive on enormous platters. The guacamole's chunky tomatoes, jalapenos and cilantro give it great flavor.
No longer recommended, despite price. This weekend, we ordered four Burrito Latte's and when we received them, they had green sauce, instead of Carne as on the menu. When I informed the waitress, she told me I was wrong and thinking of their lunch special. When I asked her to check with the cook, she refused and then became very rude. The only thing she would do is bring Carne sauce to pour over the tomatillo sauce, which sounded disgusting to me. After checking with the manager, he said that she didn't know the menu. The waitress then came back and argued with me more and lied about offering to change our meals. Finally, she told me I needed anger management and threw the $57 check at me, which the manager gladly accepted payment for. Cut costs elsewhere on your trip and dine where you will be treated like a human being.
Hit or Miss is Accurate. If you are there for the social drinks, after-ski/boarding evening with friends, then this place is great, but food is nominal, though portions are sizable. Stick to the Chips. Salsa, and excellent guac! However, stay away from anything ocean! (No fish or shrimp) I mean you are in the mountains!
