The Scene
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this beautiful 19th-century inn offers an old-fashioned atmosphere and a great location in picturesque, downtown Leadville. It was built in 1886 by three brothers, who intended it to be a monument to their home state of Delaware. Originally, it housed retail, office and residential spaces. It is near major ski resorts and surrounded by a national forest.
The Details
This 36-room hotel is tastefully furnished with Victorian-style antiques. Each of the accommodations has a small private bath, and the suites come with full baths. Numerous dining establishments and antique shops are within walking distance, and Callaway's restaurant is conveniently located in the lobby. A continental breakfast is included with the room rate. Parking is complimentary, and kids under 12 stay free.
