One item menu.. I attempted to dine here two weeks ago, but had get up and leave. NEVER have I been treated so badly by a restaurant proprietor. Shauna (sp?), the hostess was verbally abusive and we were unable stay and enjoy our meal. I have dined at Quincy's for years, but will NOT make this regular stop unless I can be assured that Shauna will not be working.
If you want steak in Leadville, go here..
Quincy's serves only 1 thing: steak. I don't mean don't try the chicken or their pate is bland, I mean they only serve one thing ... at all. There is no real menu. On certain days you can get filet mignon and on others there is prime rib. It comes with a potato (fries or baked) and a salad with the house dressing. You want choice, make for the Golden Burro. If you like steak and don't want to pay a lot (a 6 oz. steak is $6.95), Quincy's is the place to go.
Service can be a little slow, especially in the summer when the tourist trade picks up. The wait staff does their best, but you get the feeling that the place makes their money on volume (at these prices, I wouldn't be surprised). The meat is very good (the filet is bacon wrapped -- I love bacon), though it may not pass muster with a gourmet. Fortunately for Quincy's getting 5 stars in the New York Times is not their primary goal. If yours is a good, no-nonsense steak dinner (Quincy's is only open for dinner), this may be for you.
